Dynamic enablement is an analyst term, introduced by the Josh Bersin Company in 2026, for AI-native systems that generate, update and deliver guidance and learning content continuously in the flow of work, instead of publishing static courses on a fixed production cycle. It describes a direction the corporate learning market is moving in rather than an established product category.
The claim underneath the term is speed and locality: an organization's own procedures, policies and expertise become source material an AI system can turn into role-shaped guidance in days rather than the months a course production cycle takes. In the analyst framing it absorbs the LXP, learning portals and much of the authoring toolchain, while a system of record remains for regulated training that must be evidenced.
For a buyer the useful move is translating the label into verifiable questions: when a procedure changes, how quickly does the guidance people see change with it; does support reach the point of work or require leaving it; and does the audit trail for mandatory training survive the new delivery model. A vendor claiming dynamic enablement should be able to demonstrate those specifics rather than the vocabulary.
