Learning Delivery & Modalities

Also known as التعلم المدمج

Definition

Blended learning combines digital and face-to-face delivery in one designed program, assigning each element to the mode that suits it: knowledge acquisition through self-paced content beforehand, practice, discussion and coaching in the live session. The blend is planned, not merely the coexistence of two formats.

The distinction from hybrid learning is worth keeping. Blended describes sequencing modes deliberately across a program; hybrid usually describes one session attended simultaneously by in-person and remote participants, which is a delivery logistics problem rather than a design pattern.

Blends fail predictably in one place: the pre-work. When live sessions proceed as though nobody completed the preparation, the digital component becomes optional in practice and the model collapses into ordinary classroom training with extra cost. Making the session depend on the pre-work is the mechanism that holds it together.
