Multi-Tenant LMS
Also known as نظام إدارة تعلم متعدد المستأجرين
Definition
A multi-tenant LMS hosts several distinct audiences — subsidiaries, franchisees, client organizations or partner networks — on one platform instance, with each tenant's users, content, branding and reporting isolated from the others. Shared content can be published centrally while local administrators retain control of their own catalog and users.
This is the standard architecture for group holding companies, training providers selling to multiple clients, and any organization delivering learning to external partners. The alternative — running separate instances — multiplies maintenance, licensing and integration work for the same functionality.
The properties worth verifying in procurement are the boundaries: whether tenant data is genuinely isolated, whether an administrator in one tenant can ever see another's learners, how central content updates propagate, and how consolidated reporting works across tenants without breaching that isolation.
